Just a couple of recent funny things from Jack:
The other day, he pulled up my shirt to look at my belly, and he saw some stretch marks.
"Mommy has scratches," he said.
"Those are stretch marks," I told him. "I got them when you were in my belly. Before you were born."
"You got them when Jack was borning," he said.
Then today, I was wearing a shirt that has a rhinestone kitty on the chest. Jack was sitting on my lap and "talking" to the kitty. Then he bam! head-butted me right on the kitty's face.
"Sorry, kitty!" he said.
"'Sorry, kitty'?" I said. "What about 'sorry, Mommy'?"
"No!! Sorry, kitty!"
Fine. Hmph.
And, as if we didn't already know he thought so, he told both Tom and me repeatedly today, "Numbers are fun!!"
(I'm trotting this post out as evidence when he complains about algebra in eighth grade.)
