...well, I don't want to say "go away," because we always need it, but how about "only come in the middle of the night"?
We've had crazy rain and thunderstorms this week, and it's getting to all of us. It's hard to motivate to venture out, even when we have somewhere to go. So the result has been that Jack and I have been cooped up in the house for the past couple of days. All he wants to do is watch TV, and sometimes I just don't have the energy to fight him about it.
Then when we do get out of the house, it's like he's so intoxicated by this strange substance called fresh air that he goes completely berserk. He doesn't listen, he's constantly bouncing all over the place and making a pest of himself, and? He. Won't. Stop. Talking. Whining, yelling, chattering, asking the same questions over and over again, arguing, counting. I've had a headache for the past three days.
Plus, 2010 has gotten off to a rough start for a lot of people. Losses large (Haiti) and small (Chargers - booooo!). It's time to turn things around. I know that "in every life, a little rain must fall," but four days straight is getting to be a bit much. What are my San Diego sunshine tax dollars paying for anyhow?
