We had a nice, low-key day. Violet made her debut at church this morning and gained several new fans. She is growing so fast. I've already had to put away a handful of her newborn outfits, some of which she was only able to wear once because of this wacky weather that can't make up its mind.
Jack (with Daddy's help) made me a card and a mug for my special day. The card read:

Violet's Mother's Day present to me was sleeping for seven hours straight last night. It's the second time she's done it, and she's only five weeks old. Jack was six MONTHS old before he slept that long, and that was after a couple of horrendous nights of sleep training.
Thank you, Jack and Violet! Being your mommy is the best present that I could ever ask for on Mother's Day and every day of the year.
