The gift that keeps on giving

At our fabulous Easter egg hunt a couple of weeks ago, "someone" brought plastic eggs filled with hair clips and ponytail ties. And guess who found them? That's right, one of the few boys there with no sisters. Of course, he immediately asked me to put the barrettes in his hair, and he wore them for the rest of the party:

I don't know that they would have gotten more use, though, if a little girl had found them. Jack has asked to wear the barrettes almost every day since we got them. He calls them "bows," and he'll tell both Tom and me, "I want a bow in my hair!"

Here he is yesterday:

"Jack's a boy," he informed me after I put them on. "Boys wear bows in their hair."

This, evidently, was something he figured out with his dad.

Thank you, Easter bunny!

Oh, Jack! You look lovely! Jacob would like to suggest you try a headband, too. He thinks he looks FABULOUS in them.

Isn't it funny how many girls Jack's age fight having bows, barettes, and such in their hair? They actually do look pretty nice. :)

so funny! I can't believe you were the ones who got that egg, AND he loves them that much. Too funny!
