(For the record and before anyone starts thinking anything as they read this post, I am not pregnant nor am I planning to be any time soon.)
Jack has been on an extreme anti-baby kick lately. To paraphrase Mrs. Banks in Mary Poppins: "Though he adores babies individually, he agrees that as a group they're rather stupid."
Whenever I tell him we're going to go somewhere, he'll say, "No baby!" If it's a birthday party, "No baby eat some cake!" If it's a park, "No baby go on the swing!" If he sees a baby while we're standing in a checkout line at store, he'll tell me, "No that baby go first!"
If I mention specific babies that he knows - "What about Baby Nathan? Baby Matthew? Baby Eva?" - he's usually all smiles. But he makes it clear that they are exceptions. He doesn't approve of babies in general.
This past weekend, I went to the baby shower of a friend of mine who is expecting her second child in the next month. I told Jack that his little friend was going to have a baby brother soon. His response?
"No Jack have a baby brother!"
"What about a baby sister?" I asked him.
"NO!!! No baby in this house!"
Maybe we'll just get a dog.

I think you better ask if its OK to get a dog first. :)
I really do love that you quoted Mary Poppins!!! I can just see Jack thinking that thought :)
Oh boy...smart AND spirited. Watch out. :)
