This is my 100th post! I can't believe I've kept up this blog this long.
We've been having some challenging times with Jack-Jack the last couple of weeks. Keeping up with all his different phases is enough to give us whiplash. He had given up naps a few months ago, but then he started them back up again a couple weeks ago. This has coincided with a general cantankerousness, and it's hard to say if the two are related.
But since this is a milestone post, I'll share one sweet development that has accompanied Jack's recent grouchiness. When he is testing his limits or being unkind to others, often I will show him how sad his behavior makes Mommy. I pull my best hangdog face, with long lower lip and everything.
Now whenever he sees that I'm unhappy, he gives me the sweetest angelic smile and comes up and kisses me on the lips. If one doesn't do the trick, he keeps doing it over and over and over again until I can't help but smile.
Then he says, "That makes Mommy so happy!"
Yes, it does, Jack-Jack. I'd be happier if I just had the kiss without the naughtiness, but I will absolutely take what I can get.

Will that still work when he is 16?
Oh so sweet...
It better still work when he's 16. Because if it doesn't, it means the transgressions will have gotten worse.
