When I was a senior in high school, our calculus teacher devoted one day to teaching us about tautology.
"It's one of two polysyllabic SAT words that I know," he said.
"What is the other word?" we asked him.
"Polysyllabic," he smiled.
Most of Jack's words have either one or two syllables. But he does know a few polysyllabic ones:
"ahdo-ahdo" (avocado)
"pepperoni"
"uku-dede" (ukulele)
"uku-nini" (zucchini)
"applesauce" - which is the word he pronounces best on this list
Is it weird that most of these words are food?
(By the way, I don't know what "tautology" is. I really wasn't paying attention that year.)
