Relax, don't do it

I totally need to get this onesie for Jack. To say that my child is "spirited" is an understatement. I need to figure out ways to get him to lower the intensity a bit. Whenever he doesn't get what he wants exactly the second he wants it, he freaks out: screams, throws himself back, bangs his head - HARD - on the floor.

I admit that thus far we've mostly been dealing with his tantrums by trying to avoid them altogether. But it's clearly not teaching him to deal with his frustrations. And since he has to live in the world where there are other people who don't care as much as his parents do whether he's unhappy, it's time for a new plan.

Hear that, Jack? No more Mister Nice Mommy. There's a new sheriff in town. One who wears earplugs.

You go Janis! As I tell the boys, "Mommy always wins" (even if it's not easy). :)

Me too, me too! I want to be the new sheriff in town who takes no crap and The King definitely needs this onesie too. I've always maintained that my biggest job as Kingsley's Mom is to get him to RELAX! Good Luck Mama---let us know how its going. :)
