Tom and I went on a double date night tonight with a couple of friends. Although we've been on date nights before, tonight was the first time we actually hired a baby-sitter to watch Jack. Usually, we wait until we have family in town to watch him.
Jack did great. Kelsey, the sitter, said that he didn't cry at all when we left and that they had a great time eating, watching Elmo, playing, singing, and reading stories. By the time her mom picked her up, Jack was saying, "Kelsey! Kelsey!" A ringing endorsement, if you ask me.
It's such a relief knowing that we can leave him whenever we need a night out for some adult-only conversation. Of course, we talked about him the whole time anyway. :)
